Why Downloading Multiple Files Was Blocked and How to Fix It

WebStorage uses HTTPS to protect your connection and regularly scans files to ensure safety. If you see a download blocked message, it's usually triggered by Chrome’s security settings — not because the site or files are unsafe.

When downloading multiple files using Google Chrome, you might see alerts like:

  • "File has been blocked"
  • "Content may be unsafe"
  • "Dangerous file blocked"

These messages are part of Chrome’s security policies and do not indicate a threat from WebStorage.

How to fix the issue

1. Download files one by one:
If you're downloading from a folder, try downloading each file individually. This can help avoid Chrome's batch download restrictions.

2. Try a different browser:
Other browsers have different security rules. 

  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Microsoft Edge

These browsers may allow the downloads without interruption.

3. Use  WebStorage app:
