How to upload files/folders to ASUS WebStorage via FTP? (FileZilla)

The FTP function is included only with the ASUS WebStorage business plan. 
If you would like to upload/download files via FTP, you can refer to the two ways below:

Log in to FTP

Note:

If you use Google or Facebook to log in to ASUS WebStorage, please follow the steps below to set your password.

  1. Click here to reset your password.
  2. Enter your Google or Facebook email address.
  3. Check your email inbox, ASUS WebStorage will send you an email that contains a link to reset your password.
    • The password reset link is only valid for 15 minutes.
  4. After your password is created, you can log in to FTP with your ASUS Cloud ID and password.

  1. Open FileZilla [Click here to download FileZilla].
  2. Click the Site manager icon at the top left of the screen.
  3. Click New site.
  4. In the “Protocol” field, select FTP or SFTP in the drop-down list.
  5. In the “Host” field, enter your FTP host information.
  6. In the “User” field, enter your ASUS Cloud ID.
  7. Click Connect.
  8. After clicking Connect, enter your password on the pop-up screen.

Upload and download files via FTP

  • Notes:

    1. The local site of your computer will be displayed on the left pane, showing the files/folders on your computer.
    2. The remote site will be displayed on the right pane, the folder with a “/” means the location of ASUS WebStorage for Web> Cloud-only Files.

    1. To upload files/folders from your PC to ASUS WebStorage
      • Drag files/folders from the left to the right pane to upload them from your computer to ASUS WebStorage for Web>Cloud-only Files.
    2. To download files/folders from ASUS WebStorage to your PC
      • Drag files/folders from the right to the left pane to download them from ASUS WebStorage for Web> Cloud-only Files to your computer. 

  • Note:

    1. The local site of your computer will be displayed on the left pane, showing the files/folders on your computer.
    2. The five directories will be displayed on the right side pane, which means the different locations where you can store data on the ASUS WebStorage for Web:
    3. Collaboration: ASUS WebStorage for Web>Shared by me / Shared with me
    4. MyBackup: ASUS WebStorage for Web > Backup > Personal device
    5. MyCollections: ASUS WebStorage for Web > Backup > Cloud-only Files
    6. MySyncFolder: ASUS WebStorage for Web>MySyncFolder
    7. ProjectSpace: ASUS WebStorage for Web>ProjectSpace

    1. To upload files/folders from your PC to ASUS WebStorage
      • Drag files/folders from the left to the right pane to upload them from your computer to a specific folder on the ASUS WebStorage for Web.
    2. To download files/folders from ASUS WebStorage to your PC

      • Drag files/folders from the right to the left pane to download them from a specific folder on the ASUS WebStorage for Web to your computer.
