Sync icon disappeared

When using the desktop application - ASUS WebStorage Sync, it is important to understand the meaning of the different synchronization symbols displayed in two locations:

  1. Synchronization symbol in MySyncFolder on the computer.
  2. Synchronization symbol on Windows taskbar or macOS menu bar.

  • The following are the different synchronization icons that may appear next to folders/files in MySyncFolder in File Explorer (Windows):

    This symbol indicates that the file or folder is synced, and any changes made to it will be updated where MySyncFolder is accessible. You can access this file or folder even without an internet connection.

    This symbol means that the file or folder is waiting to be synced.

    This symbol represents that the files or folders are being synced to the cloud.

  • Windows

    This symbol signifies that the synchronization is finished and your files and folders in ASUS WebStorage are current. The software will continuously monitor the sync data for any changes.

    This symbol shows that a sync operation is currently taking place and your changes are being updated between the cloud and your computer.

    This symbol represents an issue with the synchronization process, such as a pause or an unexpected error. You should check the status of your ASUS WebStorage synchronization to resolve the issue.

    This symbol means that you are not logged in to your ASUS WebStorage account. To use the service, you need to log in to your account.

     

    macOS

    This symbol indicates that the synchronization process has been completed and your files and folders stored in ASUS WebStorage are up-to-date. The software will continuously check for any changes to the sync data.

    This symbol shows that synchronization is in progress and any changes made to your files and folders are being synced between the cloud and your computer.

    This symbol signifies that the synchronization process has been paused. To resume synchronization, please click the icon in the menu bar and select [Resume Synchronization...].

    This symbol indicates that there is no internet connection. Please check the network status of your Mac device and try the synchronization function again.
