We will discontinue support for low-security connections that do not meet current security standards and simultaneously adjust the minimum supported version of the Windows operating system.
Starting from [Nov/1/2026], devices using the following operating systems will no longer be able to connect to or use WebStorage related services:
Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and earlier versions
Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, and earlier versions
The affected software includes:
xDrive (formerly WebStorage Drive)
ASUS Secure Auto-Backup
ASUS WebStorage Sync
Because the aforementioned legacy operating systems cannot support the updated security connection standards adopted by WebStorage, once this adjustment takes effect, the related software will be unable to log in, sync, perform backups, or access cloud files.
Users still operating on the above operating systems are requested to complete their OS upgrade by [Nov/1/2026]:
Windows clients should upgrade to Windows 10 or a later version.
Windows Server should upgrade to Windows Server 2016 or a later version.
This adjustment is a change in the service-side security policy and cannot be resolved by reinstalling or updating the WebStorage software. To avoid service interruption, please complete your operating system upgrade and verify your environment as soon as possible.
