Rebuild Folder Index in ASUS WebStorage Drive

When using ASUS WebStorage Drive, you may occasionally encounter the following situations:

  • A file that opened normally yesterday now shows “File not found” or “File is corrupted.”

  • An error appears during upload, but a file with the same name is still visible in WebStorage Drive.

  • A folder appears empty even though you know it contains files.

These issues usually don’t mean your files are gone. They often occur because the file list on your computer becomes out of sync with what’s stored in the cloud. Use the Rebuild Folder Index feature to fix this.

Rebuild your folder index

  1. Open ASUS WebStorage Drive.

  2. Click the ⚙️ Settings icon in the upper-right corner.

  3. Select Rebuild Folder Index.

Drive will rescan and reorganize your local and cloud file lists to correct missing or mismatched paths.
When you see 'Rebuild index completed,' reopen ASUS WebStorage Drive — in most cases, the issue should be resolved.

If the problem persists

  1. Check your network connection. A slow or unstable connection can interrupt the index rebuilding process.

  2. Sign out and restart the application. Then sign back in and try again. If you forget your account name or password

  3. Contact support. If the issue continues, please reach out to our Support team for further assistance. How to contact ASUS WebStorage Support Team?
