If you're using the ASUS WebStorage Drive (desktop application) and run into some trouble while trying to move, copy, or create a file, you might see this message: "The destination already has a file named "<file_name>" but you can't actually find this file in the folder. Even if you choose "Replace," it doesn’t seem to fix the problem.
This usually happens due to a folder index error, which can cause display issues or delays.
How to fix it
You can try rebuilding the folder index to sort this out. Just follow these steps:
- Make sure you’re signed in to your ASUS Cloud ID.
- Find the ASUS WebStorage Drive icon in the Windows taskbar.
- Click on the gear icon (⚙) in the upper right corner to open the settings menu.
- Then, select[Rebuild folder index].
- Wait until see the notification “Index rebuild completed”
After that, you should be able to move, copy, or create the file.
