Enable and configure Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to allow users to activate either the authentication application or email verification. Upon completion of the setup process, a one-time password will be required for each login.
Important Notes about 2FA
- The configuration for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) can only be performed on the ASUS WebStorage webpage.
- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is implemented for login verification on the ASUS WebStorage webpage and the ASUS WebStorage mobile application. (Currently, Windows and MacOS desktop applications are not supported.)
- Users may select their preferred method for logging in, choosing between authentication app verification or email verification.
- If your ASUS Cloud ID is not in email format (e.g., abc123 instead of abc123@web.com), please complete the Report Form to contact the ASUS WebStorage Support Team
Set up 2FA on ASUS WebStorage Webpage
- Log in to the ASUS WebStorage webpage.
- Click on your profile avatar in the top right corner and select "Account Settings".
- Navigate to the "Security" settings.
- Enable your preferred verification method.
- Select "Email Verification" for subsequent logins, and a 6-digit code will be sent to your email.
- If you wish to change the email, please visit How can I update the email linked to my account?.
- Select "Authentication App" to generate a QR code on the ASUS WebStorage webpage.
- Download and install Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile device.
- Utilize your mobile authentication application to scan the QR code displayed on the ASUS WebStorage webpage.
- Using Google Authenticator as an example, select "Add a code" > "Scan a QR Code".
- Employ Google Authenticator to scan the QR code shown on the ASUS WebStorage webpage.
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by Google Authenticator into the ASUS WebStorage webpage to finalize the setup.
What Happens at Your Next Login?
ASUS WebStorage Webpage & Mobile Application Login
- Log in to the ASUS WebStorage webpage or ASUS WebStorage mobile application.
- Enter your ASUS Cloud ID and password.
- A pop-up for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) will appear.
- Select the verification method:
- Choose "Send OTP via Email"
- Access the email associated with your account > locate the 6-digit code sent via email titled "Your ASUS WebStorage authentication code".
- Enter the 6-digit code on the webpage to complete the email verification.
- If you do not receive the email, please check your junk or spam folder. If it is not present, you may need to add service@asuswebstorage.com to your address book.
- Select "Authenticator APP"
- Open the authenticator app installed on your mobile device > locate the 6-digit code associated with your ASUS WebStorage account.
- Enter the 6-digit code on the webpage to complete the verification.
- Choose "Send OTP via Email"
