How to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for my account?

Enable and configure Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) to allow users to activate either the authentication application or email verification. After setup, a one-time password will be required for each login.

  • Please review the following before enabling Two-Factor Authentication:
    1. 2FA configuration can only be performed on the ASUS WebStorage webpage.
    2. 2FA is supported for login verification on the ASUS WebStorage webpage and the ASUS WebStorage mobile application. (Windows and macOS desktop applications are not currently supported.)
    3. Users may choose preferred verification method: authentication app or email verification.
    4. Users with Microsoft-based email addresses (such as Hotmail, MSN, Live, and Outlook) may occasionally experience delays or delivery issues when receiving system verification emails.

    5. If your ASUS Cloud ID is not an email format (e.g., abc123 instead of abc123@web.com), please complete the Report Form to contact the ASUS WebStorage Support Team.
  • Follow the steps below to set up 2FA on the ASUS WebStorage webpage:

    1. Log in to the ASUS WebStorage webpage.
    2. Click your profile avatar (upper-right corner) and select "Account Settings".
    3. Navigate to the "Security" page.
    4. Enable your preferred verification method.
    • Select "Email Verification"; a 6-digit code will be sent to your email during login.

    • Select "Authentication App" to generate a QR code.
      Enable 2FA Mobile Authenticator (EN)
    1. Download and install Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
    2. Scan the QR code displayed on the ASUS WebStorage webpage.
    3. In Google Authenticator, select "Add a code""Scan a QR Code".
    4. Use the app to scan the QR code.
    5. Enter the generated 6-digit code on the webpage to complete setup.

  • ASUS WebStorage Webpage & Mobile App Login Process

    1. Log in to the ASUS WebStorage webpage or mobile application.
    2. Enter your ASUS Cloud ID and password.
    3. A Two-Factor Authentication popup will appear.
    4. Select the verification method:
      • "Send OTP via Email"
        2FA Email Login (EN)
        • Check your email for a message titled "Your ASUS WebStorage authentication code" and locate the 6-digit OTP.
        • Enter the OTP to complete the login.
          • If you do not see the email, check your spam folder. Add service@asuswebstorage.com to your address book if needed.
      • "Authenticator App"
        • Open your authenticator app and locate the 6-digit verification code associated with your ASUS WebStorage account.
        • Enter the code to complete the login process.
