File formats that are supported in xBrain

xBrain support translate, summarize, and use the question-answering service for the specific file types stored within ASUS WebStorage.

Notice: only files/folders stored within MySyncFolder/Cloud only files support xBrain.

xBrain supports the following file types:

htm, html, pdf, epub, rtf, txt, md, eml, msg, doc, docx, dotx, ppt, pptx, potx, pps, ppsx, ods, odp

 

Once the xBrain system has completed indexing your files, it can perform translation, summarization, question-answering interactions.

You can check if your files are ready by right-clicking on the file and looking for the green [Indexed] label next to the option [Explore with xBrain].

What to do if xBrain not sourcing the file to perform question-answering interactions?

You can do a quick check of the sourcing file :

  • Files/Folders not uploaded or stored within MySyncFolder/Cloud only files.
  • Index exception:
    1. File Type : xBrain current support below file types of htm, html, pdf, epub, rtf, txt, md, eml, msg, doc, docx, dotx, ppt, pptx, potx, pps, ppsx, ods, odp 
    2. File Size: limitation within 5MB per file.
  • Not indexed: right-clicking on the file>[Open file]>[Explore with xBrain]>[Rebuild index]
  • Index is processing and shall be wait for a while and the time may vary depending on internet performance.
