ASUS WebStorage business plan allows users to edit files online, providing a convenient and efficient way to collaborate on documents and projects. With this feature, both the administrator and users have the ability to make changes to online files in real-time.
Notes:
- This feature is only available for ASUS WebStorage business plan users.
- Online editable file types:
- Word (.doc/.docx), Excel (.xls/.xlsx), PowerPoint (.ppt/.pptx).
- OpenDocument Text (.odt), OpenDocument Spreadsheet (.ods), OpenDocument Presentation (.odp).
Access the online editing page

- Log in to ASUS WebStorage for Web.
- Right-click on the file you want to edit online.
- Click [Open with Office], then you will be directed to the online editing page.

- Log in to ASUS WebStorage for Web.
- Left-click on the file you want to edit to enter the preview mode.
- Click the [Open] button in the upper-right corner of the screen, and then you will be directed to the online editing page.
Editing files

The Menu bar: The menu bar is located at the top of the editing page and contains various menus that you can use to work with your file. To access the functions of a particular menu, simply click on the menu and a drop-down list will appear.

File Name: The file name section displays the name of the file you are working on, its file extension, and the last time the file was modified.

Toolbar: The toolbar is a convenient shortcut to the functions of the menu commands. By clicking on an icon on the toolbar, you can quickly activate the corresponding function without having to navigate through the menus.

Text area: The text area is the primary workspace where you can type or edit the content of your file. This is the main section you will be working with while editing your file.

Search bar: The search bar allows you to quickly find specific words or phrases within your file. Simply type the word you want to find in the search bar and use the up and down buttons to navigate between the search results.

File Information: This section displays various information about your file, such as the number of words and pages in the document.

File view: This section displays features that help you navigate your document, such as "Go to Page,” "Previous Page/Next Page,” and "Zoom control." These features are located near the bottom of the editing page and make it easy to quickly jump to specific parts of your document.

Close file: When you're finished editing your document, you can close it by clicking the cross-out icon. Your changes will be automatically saved in ASUS WebStorage, so you don't have to worry about losing any work.

Save changes and access previous versions

To save the changes made to the file, there are two options. You can click on the save button located in the upper-left corner of the online editing page or the cross-out button located in the upper-right corner. If the page is closed unintentionally, the file will still be saved in the cloud automatically.

To access previous versions of the file, you can click on the clock icon located next to the file. This will take you to the "version history," where you can preview or download previous versions of the file.
Invite members for co-editing on files

- Log in to ASUS WebStorage for Web.
- Right-click on the file that you want to co-edit with your members.
- Click [Share] in the menu
- In the Link settings section, set the file access permission as [Share only with collaborators].
- In the Add member section, enter the ASUS Cloud IDs of the members you wish to invite, one by one.
- Finally, click on the pencil icon to set the member’s permissions as [can edit], allowing them to upload, browse, edit, and delete the file.

The ASUS Cloud ID of each member will appear behind the text they are typing, providing clear visibility of who is contributing to the document.
The bottom right corner of the screen displays the total number of members currently viewing the file, and you can view their ASUS Cloud ID information by clicking on the numbers.
