Check if your ASUS WebStorage files are syncing

This article outlines the steps for checking the synchronization status of files and folders in ASUS WebStorage Sync. It covers how to check the status of all files and folders, as well as specific files and folders, on both Windows and macOS.

The article also explains how to pause and resume the synchronization function and how to set the priority of synchronization for specific files.

• Checking the sync status of all files and folders

  1. Right-click the icon located in the lower right corner of the Windows taskbar and select [Settings].
  2. In the settings page, select [Status] on the left tab to enter the status page.
  3. On the status page, you can view the current synchronization status, including:
     1. Checking sync files with server...
     2. Waiting for synchronization
     3. Syncing with cloud
     4. Sync complete
  4. You can also view the status record of synchronization or backup in the following table:
     1. Function: Displays the sync or backup functionality.
     2. Recent Updates: Shows updated filenames.
     3. Date/Time: Indicates the time when the sync or backup was completed.
     4. Sync Devices: Displays the devices that have been synced.

   

  Checking the sync status of specific files and folders

  1. Right-click the icon located in the lower right corner of the Windows taskbar and select [Open MySyncFolder].
  2. Locate the file or folder you wish to check in MySyncFolder.
  3. Observe the sync icon next to the file or folder, and a green dot to the left of synced files will be visible.
     1. Important: even when the folder displays the green dot, it is possible that the files within the folder may still be in the process of synchronizing. It is imperative to confirm that all files within the folder display the green dot before considering the synchronization process complete.

   

  Pausing and resuming synchronization

  • Pause Synchronization: Right-click the ASUS WebStorage Sync icon located in the lower right corner of the Windows taskbar and select [Pause].
  • Resume Synchronization: Right-click the ASUS WebStorage Sync icon located in the lower right corner of the Windows taskbar and select [Resume].

• Checking the sync status of all files and folders

  1. Left-click on the   icon in the menu bar and select [Preferences].
  2. In the settings page, select [Status] on the upper tab to enter the status page.
  3. On the status page, you can view the current synchronization status, including:
     1. Uploading
     2. Synchronization completed (Continuing synchronization check~)
  4. You can also view the record of synchronization status in the following table:
     1. Date/Time: Displays the time when the synchronization was completed.
     2. Action: Indicates the upload or download action.
     3. Recently Updated Archives: Shows updated filenames.
     4. Folder: Specifies the folder that contains the updated file.
     5. Capacity: Displays the file size.

   

  Pausing and resuming synchronization

  • Pause Synchronization: Left-click on the ASUS WebStorage Sync icon in the menu bar and select [Pause Sync].
  • Resume Synchronization:  Left-click on the ASUS WebStorage Sync icon in the menu bar and select [Resume Syncing...].
