ASUS Secure Auto-Backup x TWCC Cloud PC User Manual

1. Redeem TWCC credit Coupon Code

*Please be reminded to redeem the credit Coupon Code within the specified time frame.

  1. Register as a TWCC member
  2. Log in to the Member Center to complete the activation of the TWCC credit Coupon Code and import it into the designated project. 
    1. Click "Member Center" > "Order Management" > " Redemption Code”

    3. Enter the credit coupon code according to the process, specify or create a redemption project, and complete credit redemption.

2. Create a TWCC Cloud PC

*We recommend watching the instructional video in the process

  1. Select a project > click "TWCC Service" > click "Cloud PC" in the service list on the homepage > click "Create Cloud PC”
  2. Follow the steps below to complete your Cloud PC setup
    • BASICS: Enter a "Name" for your Cloud PC. Select the "Windows Server 2019 Chinese Edition" or "Windows Server 2019 English Edition" as the desired image. Click "Next"
    • NETWORK: Select "Auto-assign Floating IP", "Create Security Group" > "Next”

*Please note that if you wish to use a static IP, please contact TWCC customer service via email at service@twsc.io.

  • STORAGE: The default system hard disk is 200GB HDD > "Next”
  • PASSWORD: Set the password for remote connection > "Next"
  • REVIEW & CREATE: Confirm the setting value again, click "CREATE" to complete the setting

 

3. Connect to TWCC Cloud PC

*We recommend watching the instructional video in the process

  1. Use the remote desktop of the Windows system to connect
  2. Enter the IP address and port number (9833) to complete the connection and access the Cloud PC
    • View IP: In the service list on the TWCC homepage, click "Cloud PC" > "Cloud PC Management " > in the "Public IP" column of the virtual computing instance management page to view the IP of the Cloud PC you created
    • View the port number: In the service list on the TWCC homepage, click "Cloud PC" > " Cloud PC Management " > select "Network and Security" from the list on the left side of the virtual computing instance management page > "Security Group" > click the Cloud PC you created on the Security Group Management page > look for the ingress on the Security Group Rules Management page to view the port number in the port range associated with your Cloud PC
  3. Enter the account (administrator) and the password you set

 

4. Use WebStorage Drive on the Cloud PC

*We recommend watching the instructional video in the process

  1. Click and login to WebStorage Drive on the remote desktop

*You can also download and install WebStorage Drive through your browser

  1. A WebStorage Drive slot is automatically created in "My Computer" on the Cloud PC, and you can access your existing data stored on ASUS WebStorage

 

 

5. Log out of WebStorage Drive

  1. Right-click on the WebStorage Drive icon > click "Account" > click "Logout”

 

6. Shut down the Cloud PC

*Reminder: To avoid continuous billing from TWCC, please make sure to "stop" your Cloud PC when not in use.

  1. In the service list on the homepage, click "Cloud PC" > click " Cloud PC Management”
  2. Select the Cloud PC you want to shut down
  3. Click on the three dots on the right and select "STOP" or "DELETE”
    • Be aware that selecting "DELETE" will require you to recreate the Cloud PC if you wish to use it again.
    • Be aware that selecting "STOP" and restarting the Cloud PC will result in a change of IP address.

 

7. Insufficient hard disk capacity of the Cloud PC

  1. Suggested method 1, clear the cache of WebStorage Drive:
    • Right-click on the WebStorage Drive icon > click Clear Cache
  2. Suggested method 2, add a "data disk" to increase the storage space of the Cloud PC:

*Be aware that the data disk will be charged separately according to the VDS rate, if you have any questions or needs, please contact TWCC customer service via email at service@twsc.io.

  • On the TWCC homepage service list, click "Cloud PC" > " Cloud PC Management " > select "Virtual Disk" > "Data Disk" from the list on the left side of the virtual computing instance management page > click "CREATE" on the data disk management page
  • BASICS: Set the name, select "Specify Size & Type", enter the required capacity and type (HDD) > "Next"
  • REVIEW+ & CREATE: Confirm the setting value again, click "CREATE" to complete the setting
  • Click the disk you added on the data disk management page > click "ATTACH" in the data disk details > select the name of the Cloud PC you created > "OK" to complete the mount
  • Connect to the Cloud PC and format the attached data disk
  • Enter "Computer Management" in the search bar at the bottom left of Windows > click "Disk Management" > right-click on the data disk you added > click "online" > select "Initialize Disk" > select "GPT" in the partition style
  • Right-click on the data disk you have attached > Select "New Simple Volume" > Follow the process and click "Next" to complete the mounting process

 

8. Install WebStorage Drive to another disk

  1. Please remove the WebStorage Drive and select the disk you need when reinstalling
